UGH!! I get up this morning to go to my early bird yoga class and drive into downtown Lansing only to find a sign that says postponed until further notice. Apparently, they were happy to take my money, but they need more people to actually hold the class. I'll probably give them a couple of weeks before I ask for my money back.

On the flip side, I finally started losing weight again after hitting a plateau. Since January, I've lost 12 lbs. Doesn't sound like much, but I already notice the difference.

Change is good...right? Well, I guess I get to find out for myself. Earlier this week, I was called into a meeting with my director and supervisors. They are transfering me from Eaton County to Ingham County. This has been seriously stressing me out because I haven't worked with the urban homeless population in a few years and I feel like I have to start all over again. I am comfortable where I am and I'm worried about why they moved me. All I was told was that I was being moved to save them money. This sounds weird to me and now I am nervous about what is going to happen to me. I have exactly 5 working days to close/transfer my cases and move from my cushy office to a cube. I guess, all said, at least I have a job and I graduate in only a couple of months. Job search here I come!

Sorry for the lateness of this post. I've been sooooo busy with school and work and everything else that I've been neglecting my posts.

On Sunday, I picked out my cap and gown for graduation and my announcements! YAYYYYYYYYYY!!! I can finally see the end of the tunnel. To see my newly acquired cap and gown go to: Master's Regalia Ain't it pretty :)

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted.

Today, I tried something new. I did NIA yoga. It's a combination of dance, marshall arts, and yoga. So much fun!! I would recommend it to anyone.

Got some good news today. I LOST 5 LBS. YAY!!! Look's like the diet and exerise is working.

Well, today started out like a monday. I got up and got ready for work, looked at the TV and saw that Charlotte schools were on a two hour delay. Since my job has connections to Head Start, school closings mean I don't have to work. However, school delays mean nothing. I grab my tea and leave for work, driving about 20 miles away through freezing rain. When I get to work, my cell rings and my supervisor says Charlotte schools just closed. Here I am sitting in the parking lot thinking, I got out of bed for this? Oh well, a snow day in any form is a good thing! :)

Alright everyone...I've decided to lose weight. My new years resolution was to lose 50 lbs. I didn't know that entailed killing myself. My legs feel like Paul Sheldon's after Annie clocked him with the mallot in Misery.

But I will continue to fight through the pain as I get ready to complete the Biggest Loser workout video. Some day off...right?

Kirsten is checking her email when she comes across a list with her name on it telling her that she needs to turn in a "Signed Statement of Understanding" (even though she has turned in one last year)

She signs the damn paper and turns it in to the appropriate mailbox in the social work department at the same time as other students in her group.

[Flash back to December]
Kirsten is checking her email when she comes across a list with her name on it telling her that she still needs to turn in a "Signed Statement of Understanding" (even though she has turned in one in October)

She emails the field office and informs them that she has already turned in the paper and asks if they need her to turn in another one.

Kirsten is checking her email when she comes across an email telling her that she still needs to turn in a "Signed Statement of Understanding" and that she cannot accrue anymore field hours until it is turned in(even though she has turned in one in October)

She replys telling them that she has already turned it in and that she asked them to let her know if she needed to turn in another one. She also calls the office and is told to bring another copy in. She drives to MSU, risks getting a ticket by parking in a no parking zone, and turns in the paper to the field office.

The MSU Graduation Ceremony is from 7-9:30p.m.at the Breslin Center on campus.

I created a new homepage for the heck of it. If you want to visit, you can click on the link to the left. That one has more info about me and my thoughts on various topics of social concern. This blog will probably be more about what I am doing, while that one will be more about what I am thinking (when I do have a thought).
